Watermain Replacement

Elk Rapids, MI

Gosling Czubak has long served the Village of Elk Rapids’ municipal water and sewer systems. Gosling Czubak assisted on several water system capital improvements projects, including an Iron Filtration Plant and watermain replacement throughout the Village, to improve water quality, increase flow and replace undersized and antiquated main.

Gosling Czubak completed topographic survey, geotechnical soil borings for the stretches of streets to be effected. The engineering scope of work included hydraulic analysis, watermain replacement design, technical specifications, contract documents, permitting, and engineers cost estimate for the approximately 17,500 lf of main to be replaced. Additional work included replacement of the oldest water hydrants. Gosling Czubak provided construction materials testing and construction observation.

Experiential Resources (ERI), a Hawaiian-based company that designs and builds aerial adventure attractions, teamed with Gosling Czubak to provide surveying and construction materials testing for the SkyBridge Michigan project at Boyne Mountain, the world’s longest, timber-towered suspension bridge.

Wastewater Treatment Plant

Gosling Czubak completed design of a new 582,000 gallon per day extended aeration mechanical plant/lagoon hybrid process wastewater treatment plant for the Village of Elk Rapids in Antrim County.

Jones Landing Park

Gosling Czubak designed the park facilities, including a new boat launch, beach facility, restrooms, and park pavilion.

McKeese Road

Gosling Czubak provided design and construction engineering services for this BIA funded road improvement project.
