Eastern Elementary School

Gosling Czubak completed geotechnical, drilling and surveying services ahead of the planned reconstruction of Eastern Elementary School in the Traverse City Area Public School District. Reconstruction is planned for the summer of 2017.

Torch Lake Bathymetric Survey

Working with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Gosling Czubak completed a bathymetric survey of Torch Lake to assist in determining the feasibility of a new boat access site (BAS) on the west side of the lake. 

Environmental Consulting

Gosling Czubak provided permitting and compliance services to various mining operations throughout the State of Michigan.

Regional Hospital Acquisition

A regional hospital network in northern Michigan was merging with and acquiring additional hospital properties and retained Gosling Czubak to complete environmental due diligence prior to completing the acquisition.   

Asbestos Survey

Gosling Czubak completed an asbestos survey and environmental site assessment of a residential home in Charlevoix Township.

Environmental Compliance

A  rubber manufacturing plant that is a global supplier of hoses to the automotive, heavy truck, marine and agricultural industries is required to perform numerous environmental activities related to hundreds of chemicals included in its manufacturing.

Wellhead Protection Plan

Gosling Czubak has completed numerous wellhead protection plans for communities throughout Northern Lower Michigan.

Asset Acquisition Environmental Assessment

Enerplus retained the services of Gosling Czubak to complete environmental assessments at 27 existing well sites.  

Groundwater Modeling

Gosling Czubak conducted a remedial investigation at a crude oil central production facility. Soil and groundwater were investigated to identify and characterize potential sources of contamination. 

Clare's Country Corner

Soil and groundwater were contaminated with hydrocarbons from historic releases from underground storage tanks. Gosling Czubak completed site characterization work including soil and groundwater sampling.  

Property Acquisition Asbestos Survey

A community organization desired to acquire a residential property to house individuals with learning disabilities. 

SPCC Plans

Multiple Michigan oil and gas producers are required to prepare a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan and describe measures it implemented to prevent oil discharges from reaching surface waters.  

Greenhouse Gas Reporting

Greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting has been completed for large oil and gas producers in Michigan as required by 40 CFR Part 98 Subpart W.  

EPCRA Reporting

Title III of Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) is the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act (EPCRA).

Air Stripping Remediation System

Petroleum releases from an oil and gas central production facility in Otsego County, MI impacted soil and groundwater at the site. 

Hay Lake Park & Marina

Redevelopment of private marina to 30-slip public marina, boat launch, kayak launch, parking, and UA bathrooms. Amenities include walks, parking and LID storm water measures. Funded by MNRTF and MDNR grant funds.

Sayler Park Boating Access Site

Gosling Czubak performed updated conceptual design from a dated plan, assisted to secure additional Waterways BAS funds and then engineered the new launch to serve smaller boats up to 22 feet in length with a single, reinforced and widened ramp.

North Bayside Park

Gosling Czubak assisted Acme Township with the redevelopment of waterfront park along Lake Michigan in Acme Township. The first phase included new walkways and linkages for future trail connectors and an enhanced beach environment.

Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor

Gosling Czubak prepared specifications for the building's removal and designed the new docks and upland facilities, including water and electrical services.

Crescent Shores Boating Access Site

The project involved redesigning the existing road end single lane small boat launch and developing an off-road parking facility on the newly acquired 11.2 acres of land adjacent boat launch site.

Underground Fuel Tank Locating

Gosling Czubak completed a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) investigation at a restaurant property in Harbor Springs, formerly a cabin property, to locate the position of a potential in-ground fuel tank. 

Wetlands Delineation

Gosling Czubak identified and delineated wetlands in a right-of-way for a power transmission line near Traverse City, Michigan, utilizing U.S. Army Corps of Engineers methodology. 

Wetland Determination

Gosling Czubak identified and delineated wetlands on a parcel subject to a proposed expansion of an assembly plant.  The presence of wetlands was determined using existing resources and discussions with the MDEQ. 

Baker's Acres Wetlands Consulting

Gosling Czubak identified and delineated wetlands on a vacant parcel for a proposed commercial development.  After a pre-application meeting was conducted with the MDEQ to present various development options, a commercially-viable site plan was developed that minimized impacts and provided mitigation via a Conservation Easement. A permit for the project was subsequently approved by the MDEQ. 

Arcadia Dunes Barrier Free Boardwalk and Overlook

The focus of the planning and preliminary design development is to create accessible (5% slope) trail segments as part of the existing resource area trail loops.

Non-Motorized Trail Plan

Gosling Czubak developed a non-motorized trail master plan for the Village of Roscommon.

High School Ballfield

Gosling Czubak helped Kalkaska High School redevelop its baseball field facility.

C.A.S.A. Soccer Complex

Gosling Czubak worked with Crawford AuSable Soccer Association (CASA) to develop a master site plan for a four field complex to be located on the former Crawford County Fair Ground Site northeast of the city of Grayling.
