Joining Jordan Pedestrian Pathway

East Jordan, MI

The Joining Jordan waterfront improvement project links the residential and Downtown districts on each side of the Jordan River. Located on the shore of Lake Charlevoix, The $2.5M project was completed in large part due to a $2.2M Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awarded to the City by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). The project includes boardwalk and pedestrian pathways, waterfront pavilions, improved non-motorized circulation, and amenities for users of all types. 

Winner of Excellence in Construction 2021 from Builders Exchange of NW Michigan.

The project was realized through the East Jordan Sub-Area Waterfront Planning process, which included multiple public and stakeholder meetings that identified this linkage as a priority for the area and future development.
