Herman Park Tennis Courts

Suttons Bay Township, MI

This phase of the Herman Park development focused on construction of two banks of tennis courts and associated site work. Gosling Czubak assisted the Township to submit for local foundation grants and one from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to help fund and  leverage local dollars.  The project features state-of-the-art surfacing and “cut corners” per USTA specifications, as well as bioswales and a complete accessibility walk system.

The highlight of the project was working with retired United States Navy officer/physician and renowned NASA astronaut Jerry Linenger, who helped create a special event fundraiser featuring his experiences on MIR space station and celebration of local WWII veterans and their stories.
