Greilickville Harbor Park

Elmwood Township, MI

This Elmwood Township waterfront that once functioned as an industrial site for logging and the brick-making industry has today become one of only a few public access points to West Grand Traverse Bay. Later, a marina and public beach evolved and the site today functions as a public marina and launch and an adjacent picnic park. With the high public demand for waterfront access, both the marina and park were in dire need of renovation to improve safety, access, natural resource protection and overall recreation.

An extensive public process facilitated by Gosling Czubak included several Parks and Recreation Committee meetings, public charrettes, and stakeholder meetings to coordinate the design process and gain the support of the public. The project was funded by a Coastal Management Grant.
