A limestone quarry mining operation is required to perform numerous environmental compliance activities related to its mining operations. These activities can include mine application permitting requirements,  compliance with major and minor source air use permits, compliance with soil erosion permits, construction permits and storm water management permits. Many quarries are also required under permit to properly manage soild and hazardous waste streams generated by various on-site activities, as well as proper management of wastewater discharges from such activities to any surface water bodies or any adjacent wetlands areas. In some cases, soil and groundwater remediation activities are also required. Gosling Czubak provides all of these permitting and compliance services to various mining operations throughout the State of Michigan.
