Air Stripping Remediation System

Otsego County, MI

Petroleum releases from an oil and gas central production facility in Otsego County, MI impacted soil and groundwater at the site. A Corrective Action Plan (CAP) was developed that proposed a dissolved-phase groundwater remediation system. The system incorporates nine recovery wells including several down gradient and off site, cumulatively pumping 700 GPM to a groundwater remediation system. The system consists of pretreatment for iron removal followed by an air stripper for removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
