Civil Engineering Construction Technician
We have an immediate opening for a Civil Engineering Construction Technician with experience in civil engineering construction and materials testing.
Responsibilities Include
- Represent Gosling Czubak on construction sites
- Work with the engineer, contractor, and owner to successfully complete the construction project
- Observation and inspection for road, site development, and utility construction, testing of concrete, soils, asphalt, and other construction materials in the laboratory and field.
- Prepare written reports, resolve problems in the field, enforce compliance with construction standards
- Willingness to travel - 25% (preferred)
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of experience providing materials testing and construction observation
- Minimum of High School Diploma (Civil Technology degree is a plus)
- Experience with materials testing, testing certifications, and /or associate degree in a related field required
- MDOT experience and certifications are a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Candidate must be able to develop and maintain good relationships with clients and team
- U.S. Employment authorization required
